Careers at Excellence Home Care

Caregiving is hard work. Working here shouldn't be.

Ask a caregiver why they left their last agency and you'll rarely hear “the work.” You'll hear about the schedule that changed without warning, the office that didn't answer, the client they were sent to with no information, and the paycheck that came up short.

We built Excellence Home Care around fixing exactly those things. Our belief is simple: caregivers who are respected, prepared, and fairly paid provide better care. That's not a slogan on a wall — it's the operating model.

What we offer

Fair, on-time pay.

Competitive hourly rates, overtime paid correctly, and reliable payroll. Every time.

Schedules that respect your life.

We build around your availability — full-time, part-time, weekends, overnights. Tell us what works and we'll hold to it.

Real training, not a video and a handshake.

Paid entry-level and annual training that meets California requirements, plus dementia care, safe transfers, and communication skills. We prepare you before your first shift, not during it.

Support you can actually reach.

Supervisors who answer the phone, regular check-ins, and someone to call when a shift goes sideways at 9pm.

Matched placements.

We consider your skills, experience, language, and personality when we assign clients. You're not a warm body filling a slot.

Growth with a path.

Peer mentoring, advanced training, and clear routes toward senior caregiver, scheduler, and supervisor roles as we grow.

Appreciation that shows up.

Recognition, team events, and a workplace where safe sharing and mutual respect are the actual standard.

Who we're looking for

Character — non-negotiable: trustworthiness, patience, empathy, reliability.

Skills — teachable, but we look for them: clear communication, adaptability, attention to detail, physical stamina.

If you're the kind of person who notices that someone hasn't eaten, who doesn't rush a shower, and who shows up when you said you would — we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • Registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry (or willing to register — we'll walk you through it)

  • Valid government-issued ID and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with insurance (for roles involving transportation)

  • Compassion and dependability that show up on the third Tuesday, not just in the interview

No prior agency experience? If you've cared for a family member and you have the character we're looking for, apply anyway. We train.
